林天行 LAM Tian Xing

現任香港美協主席、香港文聯常務副會長、中國美術家協會香港會員分會主席、中國文聯全委會委員、中國美術家協會理事、清華大學海外評審專家、華南師範大學客座教授、香港特別行政區政府選舉委員會委員、中國國家藝術基金專家委員會專家；曾任第13屆全國美展評委。

1963年生於中國福州市。1978年始先後拜吳國光、林光、陳挺、劉牧等先生學習西洋畫和中國畫。1984年移居香港。1989年進入中央美術學院中國畫系學習。

1991年至1998年，任教於香港大一藝術設計學院。曾在全球多地舉辦近百次個人畫展。自1981年起，其作品屢次入選全國美展、當代香港藝術雙年展、深圳國際水墨雙年展、百年中國畫展等重要展事，並參與超過兩百場國際聯展。

2005年與2008年，應國家文化部邀請，以香港為主題創作的《晨曲》與《維港兩岸》分別隨神舟六號及神舟七號航天飛船進入太空。

作品獲中國美術館、中國國家畫院、廣州美術館、深圳美術館、西藏美術館、福建省美術館、香港藝術館、香港文化博物館、香港禮賓府等海內外重要機構與私人藏家收藏。

出版畫集與專著四十餘種，包括《林天行畫集》、《天行彩墨》、《景象香港》、《天行之荷》、《天行西藏》、《蓮說》、《天行之路》、《天行藝道》及《夜。香港》等。

LAM Tian Xing is the curremt chairman of The Hong Kong Artists Association and also the executive vice chairman of CFLAC Hong Kong Member Association, the chairman of China Artists Association Hong Kong Chapter, a national committee member of CFLAC, a council member of China Artists Association, an overseas review expert of Tsinghua University, a visiting professor of South China Normal University, a member of Election Committee of the Chief Executive Election, an expert committee member of the China National Arts Fund; previously served as a judge for the 13th China National Exhibition of Fine Arts.

LAM was born in Fuzhou, China in 1963. Beginning in 1978, he studied Western and Chinese painting under masters such as Wu Guoguang, Lin Guang, Chen Ting, and Liu Mu. He immigrated to Hong Kong in 1984. He studied at the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1989.

From 1991 to 1998, he taught at the Hong Kong First Institute of Art and Design. He has held nearly 100 solo exhibitions worldwide. Since 1981, he has participated in various important exhibitions such as the China National Exhibition of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition, the International Ink Painting Biennial of Shenzhen, and A Century of Chinese Painting Exhibition. He also participated in over 200 international group exhibitions.

In 2005 and 2008, at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, LAM Tian Xing's works themed on Hong Kong, “Morning Song” and “Sideview in Victoria Harbour”, were respectively carried into space aboard the Shenzhou VI and Shenzhou VII spacecraft.

His works are collected by important institutions and private collectors both domestically and internationally, including the National Art Museum of China, the China National Academy of Painting, the Guangzhou Art Museum, the Shenzhen Art Museum, the Tibet Museum, the Fujian Art Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, and the Government House.
